Quinte
West - Trenton
(located west of Kingston)
IF YOU HAVE ANY PHOTOGRAPHS OF THIS
PARK PLEASE EMAIL THEM TO US....

This park looks amazing. It was designed by Jim Barnum of Spectrum Park Creations
in Vancouver, BC. It has amazing lines, and some super cool transitions, including
a half bowl, something he tries to slip into all of his parks. You know it will
rock if the contractors follow the plan to every specification. Jim has built
world class parks in places like British Columbia (Hastings and Whistler), and
Calgary (Millenium).

Letter (re: Quinte West - Trenton skate park):
Just wanted to let you know that our new cement skate park is currently under
construction and should be down by July 03. It was designed by Jim Barnum of
Spectrum and Patrick Morello of PGM Design Associates, Toronto, ON. It is approx.
16,000 sq/ft and is located in Centennial Park, Trenton Ward of Quinte West,
Ontario (45 minutes west of Kingston). The park will be a free public skate
park and will have lights that will operate until 10pm. It has taken three years
of fundraising and hard work by volunteer members of the Skate Park Task Force.
A $75,000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation helped us in getting off
the ground. The rest of the funds have come from the community (Service Clubs,
individuals and businesses). We are now planning for a spectacular grand opening
ceremony, which we hope to hold on Aug. 16/03. If you have any suggestions that
would help in making this event special, we would appreciate hearing from you.

Letter (re: Benefit Show - St. Catharines)
This is Aaron D'Amico, I am a co-founder and promotions agent from St. Catharines,
Ontario, Canada. Within our city, there is an ongoing problem where kids are
getting arrested for skateboarding on public property. These kids are having
their skateboards confiscated, and are being fined, and sometimes arrested.
What the city has done, is approved plans to put in a skate park, however there
is no funding. We at Cabinhat Productions intend on addressing this need by
lending our services, to promoting a show on August 22nd, of punk, and rock
performances at the Hideaway in St. Catharines. All of the proceeds will be
going towards the building of the skate park in our area. What we are looking
for is any help you could give us, whether that be, stickers, clothing, anything
at all, we would raffle it off, as door prizes and such, in order to raise more
money for the skate park.
